After practicing yoga for many years, Sara began her 500 hour yoga teacher training in 2007 with Barbara Benagh. As a pregnant mom with an infant, the teacher training heightened Sara’s awareness of the many physical and emotional changes one undergoes during pregnancy and the postpartum time period. Sara’s journey through yoga, pregnancy and motherhood has kindled a commitment to helping people, especially during major life changes. To deepen that commitment, she continues to explore ways to help her clients enjoy happy and healthy lives through yoga and fitness. After completing her yoga certification, Sara dove right into teaching yoga to pre and postnatal mothers (and fathers!) and people with with physical limitations. She became a certified personal trainer in 2011 and has since supplemented her training with certifications in pre- and post-natal fitness and yoga, Spin, Kettlebell and TRX. She is constantly learning through yoga workshops with Master teachers, and has been particularly influenced by Barbara Benagh and Patricia Walden. She enjoys creating challenging and fun fitness classes, and brings her yoga background into all of her classes. Her patient approach is welcoming to people of all levels of fitness. When Sara is not training others, she keeps herself busy with her three very energetic young children—her toughest customers.
